  • Kitchen Joinery Resurfacing
  • Kitchen Joinery Resurfacing

  • Are you thinking of doing a kitchen makeover?

Here are a few reasons to consider letting us resurface your kitchen joinery instead of replacing them:

    • it's an economical way of renewing your kitchen
    • it's a great way of updating and adding value
    • we have a range of gloss levels and finishes available
    • we can colour match to existing colours
    • we use hard wearing and durable products
    • the highest quality painted finish you can get for your joinery
    • stain and clear finishes for wood also available
  • The Process:

When doing a kitchen joinery resurfacing project, we take the removable parts to our workshop for painting and the non-removable parts we paint on site.

Often there is no need to paint the interior of the cupboards and drawers, so most of your kitchen items can remain in place. We aim to achieve this revamp promptly to ensure as little disruption to your daily life as possible.

Here's an overview of the steps involved in the resurfacing process:

    • cupboard doors, drawers/drawer fronts and any other removable panels that are in need of painting are removed whilst carefully marking items to ensure their correct replacement.
    • they are taken back to our workshop where the hardware (handles etc) is removed; panels are cleaned; damages are repaired; panels are sanded and prepped for painting in our specialised spraybooth.
    • the few items in your kitchen in need of painting that are non-removable will be painted in place with a matching waterbased paint. With these parts we do a complete and thorough mask off of all surrounding surfaces, to ensure no overspray or contamination occurs. Our portable HVLP spray system is then used to provide a seamless match to the items painted in our workshop.
    • Once the items in the workshop are cured, they are returned and placed back in their original position.

After an initial consultation, you will be given a more in-depth explanation of the process particular to your job, and an idea of time frame.

  • Door Revamping
  • Door Revamping

  • Have you grown unhappy with the look of your doors? Are they a source of embarrassment to you?

Here are a few reasons to consider letting us revamp your doors instead of replacing them:

    • The best painted finish you can get for your doors
    • A great way to make a statement for your entrance way
    • Hard wearing and durable
    • Any colour and also colour matching can be done
    • A range of gloss levels and finishes available
    • U.V treatments for exterior doors available to preserve longevity from hash conditions

NOTE: stain and clear finishes for wood also available.

  • The Process:

For most door rejuvenating projects, the work is done in our workshop. In the case of very heavy or large doors, we recommend that the removal and replacement of doors be done by a qualified builder. This will ensure the door is hung without any points of friction and no damage to frames or hinges is done.

Here's an overview of the steps involved in the rejuvenating process:

    • Doors are removed and carefully marked to ensure correct replacement.
    • Once back at our workshop the hardware is removed, cleaned, repairs done, sanded and prepped for painting in our specialised spraybooth.
    • Once we have achieved a superb finish and the paint is cured, the doors are returned ready to be replaced in their original position.

NOTE: occasionally some hardware/handles cannot be removed. In this case, items are carefully masked to protect your hardware and to ensure a seamless finish.

In cases where doors cannot be removed, or it is impractical to do so, they will need to be painted in place. This can be done very effectively using a couple of methods including our portable spray painting system, or more traditionally hand painting by one of our highly skilled painters to achieve a wonderful classic finish.
